Phyllis Moser
luminest-labstract painter and collage artist
Vivid, luminous colors and energetic line are the principal elements in Phyllis Moser’s work. Thirty years of experience as a calligrapher has influenced her painting style. Text, lettering and collage elements are frequently incorporated into works on paper and canvas. Recently Ms. Moser has begun to explore altered books as a means of expression particularly suited to her interests and style.
The artist holds a B.S. in Art Education from Kutztown University. She has studied calligraphy with nationally recognized calligraphers including Timothy Botts and Shiela Walters. Her work is found in private and institutional collections, including Millikin College (Decatur, IL) and Christ Hospital and Medical Center (Oak Lawn, IL), and the Smithsonian’s National Postal Museum (Washington, D.C.)
Phyllis Moser holds a B.S. in Art Education from Kutztown University. She is active in the arts community of Berks County, PA, promoting, teaching, and creating.
